A seven-thirty o’clock Mass was said Monday morning by a visiting Priest, Mrs. Hany Kuhlmann’s brother. On Tuesday morning, April 24th, Robert Martin Malinka of St. Christopher parish was married to Sue Ann Scheerer of Irvington. Robert is now in the United States Army, and they expect to live in California for a time. Alice Howard, an eighth grader at St. Christopher school, was awarded a plaque and a twenty-five dollar U. S. bond, at a luncheon on Wednesday, April 18th, in the Chateau room of the Claypool hotel, by the Downtown Lions Club of Indianapolis. She was the fourth prize winner in the Lions Club Essay contest for a paper on “How to Make a Better, Greater Indianapolis.” Ave Marie Discussion Group met with Jackie Bailey Tuesday evening, April 24th, at 8 o’clock. Sunday, the Green Stamp committee reported 1717 books collected. Please help the boys and girls meet their May 13th goal . . . 1825 books ... this half-way mark.
