Indpls. Hiking Club The Indianapolis Hiking Club will hike in Mounds State Park, Anderson, on Sunday, March 11. The group will meet at 1:00 pan. on the east side of the State House and then drive to the park, gathering at 2:30 pan. in the parking lot near the entrance to the park. We will hike around these historic mounds and along park trails that follow the banks of White River. Regular Sacred Heart Devotions will continue to be at 7:30 each Thursday night, and the Inquiry Class from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the church basement each Wednesday night. Saturday night from 7:30 to 8 o’clock, members of the Holy Name Society will gather in church for Vespers Service. An opportunity for confession will be given immediately following the service. Members of the Holy Name Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the 8 o’clock Mass Sunday morning. Immediately following the Mass, a simple breakfast will be served in the social room. Ladies of Charity Annual Shamrock Sale will be held after the Masses on Sunday, March 11th. This organization helps care for the sick, poor, and needy of the city. Collections for the Negro and Indian Missions will be taken up after the Communion of the Mass at all Masses Sunday. Begging monies to help buy the materials for the pies for the first Fish Dinner, March 16th, will be members of the Altar Society at the doors after all Masses Sunday. On Sunday at 2:30 pan., and again at 8:00 p.m., the Notre Dame Glee Club will give a concert at Marian College. The proceeds from these concerts are used for a scholarship fund. Menu for the Fish Dinner, Friday, March 16th, at St. Christopher will appear in next week’s Flyer. Mrs. Morris Gambrall, chairman, would appreciate the help of any lady on this dinner. Letters are now in the mail to parishioners, close friends, and relatives Of Father Lindemann inviting them to participate in a testimonial dinner at the Student Union Building on Sunday, June 10th, for Father Lindemann’s fortieth year ordination in the Holy Priesthood. Plans are being made far in advance so that everyone can arrange to attend. Leonard Benedetto is general chairman. Kathleen Kulaga and her committee will clean the church this week. Next week is Ember Week. Wednesday and Saturday are days of partial abstinence. All days of Lent, except Sundays, are days of fasting for all men and women who have reached the age of 21 and are not yet 59, except those especially exempt. At 8 o’clock Monday morning, the High Mass was sung for Josephine Naberhaus at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Malek. Agnes Kien was remembered in the Mass Tuesday morning. James and Helen Houk and Mary Breen requested the Mass. Robert and Dorothy Spitzer requested the Mass yesterday for Catherine Beck. The Mass at 8 o’clock today was for Mary Catherine Parker at the request of the Kenneth Carter family. Frank Kreffel will be remembered in the Mass tomorrow. Mary

Highlighting this birthday party will be the main speaker, Dr. Glenn Cunningham, Olympic champion runner. Dr. Cunningham is a handicapped person himself, who through rehabilitative methods, regained normal use of his legs.
