Father Philip Marquard of Chicago, formerly of Alvema Retreat House, Indianapolis will give the retreat at the Fatima Retreat House this week-end. Many St. Christopher ladies will take advantage of this spiritual vacation. Mary Ruth Toney, a 1961 graduate of St. Mary Academy, has been elected Vice-president of the Freshman class at Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mary is also serving as Chairman of Festivities for the Freshman Parents’ Week-end at the school on March 3rd and 4th. The Inquiry Class on Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:00 o’clock discussed Holy Orders. Last week following a discussion on Extreme Unction, instructive moving pictures were shown. Father Richart conducts these classes. They are held in the church basement. Just come in the west front door, turn right and do down the stairs, then walk straight ahead to the rear of the basement. Mrs. Florence Dufek and her committee will clean the church this week. Our Lady of Fatima Discussion Group met with Judy Rosner Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. Jule Daley was hostess for the Sacred Heart Group on Monday evening at 8 o’clock. On Tuesday evening, the St. Gerrard Group met with Gene Bertrang at 8:00 p.m. x The next Ladies’ Party, and the last before Lent, will be on Friday night, March 2d. The door prize will be quite large.
