ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOUC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Rosner was a charter member of St. Christopher. St. Christopher came in second along with St. Mary’s, Rushville, with three winners in the annual Junior CYO Style Show at the Holy Name auditorium in Beech Grove on January 28th. Margaret Brading was a winner for tailored dresses, Janice Wheasler for tailored suits, and Pat Ellison for party dresses. Brother John Henninger, C.S.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Henninger of St. Christopher’s parish, made his first profession of vows as a Brother of Holy Cross on January 26 at St. Joseph Novitiate, Rolling Prairie, Indiana. A graduate of Cathedral High School, Brother John has been assigned to study at St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas. Mothers of Cathedral High School graduates will sponsor a Turkey Dinner on Sunday, February 11th, in the high school cafeteria. Serving will be from 12 Noon till 6 p.m. Price for adult dinners will be $1.50, children 75c. The Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce will present the fourth guest lecturer in the “Voice of Freedom Series” on next Thursday night, February 15th, in the Broad Ripple high school auditorium. The subject of the lecture will be “Economic Growth—Fact or Fancy.” A good time is promised to all who attend the Valentine Dance at St. Ann’s school hall, February 16th. Dancing will be from 9 p.m.
PERSONALS (Continued from Page 1) This was made possible as Tom was one of the few chosen, out of all the Freshmen registered at Purdue University, to participate in the Honor Academic Program. Tom’s subjects were Physics, R.0.T.C., Advanced Chemistry, Engineering Lectures, Engineering Math and Graphics of which he maintained a 5.4 Index out of a possible 6.0 Index. He is still carrying 20 credit hours this semester. Barbara Kay Morris, 2329 Fisher has pledged Alpha Omicron Pi at Ball State Teachers College. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Thompson announce the arrival of a son, Dale Eric, born January 17th at the Coleman Hospital. They are the proprietors of the Speedway Pet Shop. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glen Schnarr. An Anniversary Mass was sung at 8 o’clock on Monday morning for James Hammett at the request of Mrs. Hammett and daughter. Rachel Joyce and her 7th grade class of St. Christopher school requested the Mass on Tuesday morning for Richard Wheasler. The Mass yesterday was for Edward Hollinden, as requested by Elizabeth Hollinden. G Julia Gleason was remembered in the Mass this morning at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Springer requested the Mass on Friday morning be said for Carrie Springer. Frank Kreffel will be remembered in the Mass Saturday morning at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Smerdell. Please keep on sending in your S. & H. Green Trading stamps, or Top Value stamps, to St. Christopher school or parish for the new school bus. No amount is too small or too large.
