Sunday morning the regular schedule of worship services— Sunday Church Schools continues. Confirmation classes and Junior Choir will meet at 6 p.m. Intermediate League will also meet this week; their program will include a film “Learning to Live with Parents.” The Kindergarten Department is planning a special parents’ meeting this Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Kindergarten age (4, 5) children will have a Valentine Party in their regular rooms at the six o’clock hour. At the same time, their parents will gather in the Junior Department for a discussion with the Kindergarten Department teachers. Included on the program will be a presentation on the Kindergarten Sunday Church School curriculum material, The Christian Growth Series, by Mrs. Thelma Jones and Mr. Jay Utken. Brotherhood meets Monday evening, February 12, at 8 p.m. On the agenda will be the election of officers. Regular monthly meeting of the church council is Tuesday, February 13, at 7:45 p.m., in the Junior Department. Speedway Alcoholics Anonymous meets the same evening at 8:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Senior Choir Rehearsal is Wednesday, February 14, 7:30 p.m. St. Andrew’s Lutheran Nursery School is held each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9-11.

Plainfield 87-77 in a Mid-State Conference game at Plainfield Saturday night. Speedway reserves lost by one point, 50 to 49. This week Speedway plays Decatur Central at Speedway Friday night and Lebanon at Lebanon on Saturday night. Tickets for the Lebanon game are limited and fans should not travel to Lebanon unless they purchase tickets before going. Available tickets may be purchased from Mr. Clyde Sallee, Athletic Director, at school on Friday. The Speedway Junior High team won the Mid-State Conference Tourney at Plainfield last week defeating Danville 47-24, Center Grove 32-26, and Greenwood 50-38. The Junior High team also defeated Pike Township 44 to 34 last Saturday night. This win puts them in the semi-finals of the
