ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) This Friday evening the Stewardship Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Junior Department. The regular worship service-Sunday Church School schedule continues this Sunday. At 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon there will be a special training session for all those who are serving as callers in the Stewardship Time and Talents Survey. Mr. Franklin Thompson and Mr. Don Wolford will present the program. Junior Choir and Confirmation Classes will be in session Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Intermediate Luther League gathers from 7-8 p.m. this same evening. Speedway Alcoholics Anonymous meets Tuesday, January 30, at 8:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. North Central 54-36 in the semifinal game Saturday afternoon, and losing to Southport, the sev-enth-ranked team in the state, by a 49-31 score in the final game Saturday night. The Sparkplugs played the Southport Cardinals almost on even terms most of the game, the score being 34-27 in favor of Southport at one point in the game. Other basketball scores last week were: Speedway 7th grade 28, Center Grove 19 Speedway Bth grade 42, Center Grove 21 Speedway Freshmen 33, Center Grove 31 Bill O’Neal, Speedway senior, received the West Side Exchange Club’s Mental Attitude Award. Bill and all his teammates are to be congratulated for the sportsmanship they exhibited throughout the tourney. This sportsmanship award has been made to a Speedway player three of the last seven years, Joe Cork and Jim Wood being recipients in 1956 and 1957, respectively.
