Is a very feeble word when trying to express ourselves for your lovely aid at Thanksgiving and Christmas time in taking care of needy, sick and afflicted. Your responses were very touching and we were enabled to make things happy for approximately fifty children and ten adults. We wish to thank the Flyer for their eager to aid attitude and the many folks, too many to list, that brought clothing, toys, and large quantities of food. We were certainly thrilled at the kindness of Mr. Wentz, Miss Anderson and their departments of Linde Air Products for completely dressing eight of these children from head to foot including hair cuts. Thanks to Mrs. Brown of Allison St., for dressing the dolls, the Lioness Club, employees of Speedway Bank, Fairy Hendersons club, Mrs. Wiegel, Mr. and Mrs. Wickerham, Speedway Amer. Legion Auxiliary, Mr. and Mrs. Mayhew, and an anonymous for their liberal contributions of money. Also Brownie troops and Sunday School classes for their contributions- of food, clothing, etc., also Beck Drug Store, and Speedway Fire Dept, for their contributions of toys. These gifts were given in the name of Speedway folks and due to the fact that it is an all year project thrust that you will remember us at housecleaning time. Thanks again, also for your trust in us, especially with your money. It was a wonderful experience for us this year. John and June Scholl 1640 Allison St. Card of Thanks We wish to express our sincere thanks for the cards, floral tributes, Masses and many kindnesses extended to us during the long illness and death of our beloved brother and son Rick Wheasler. Main Drug Store And Rosners Drug Store To Alternate Sundays Effective January 28th, Main Drug Store at 15th and Main and Rosners Drug Store at 16th and Main will begin alternating Sundays. On January 28th, Rosners will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to serve you and on the following Sunday, February 3rd, Main Drug Store will be open the same hours. Signs will be posted in the windows of each store advising the public which store will be open. Phone numbers of where a Pharmacist can be reached for emergency prescription service from the store that is closed will be posted in the window as well as in their ad in the Speedway Flyer. Emergency prescription service from the store that is closed will be available in approximately 15 minutes. As most people are well aware, the hours of a Drug Store are long and tedious ones. Little trouble is encountered in obtaining employees to work anytime but on Sunday and we feel that their complaints to working on Sunday are legitimate ones. Both stores will be open an average of 90 hours a week to serve you even with the new schedule in force. Your co-operation with us in this new venture will result in more rested and satisfied employees to serve you better during the rest of the week.
