ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Pag? 1) to Thursday nights to eliminate confusion with Lenten services later on. Last night was held the first Inquiry Class of the New Year in the school social room at St. Christopher. These classes will be held each week on Wednesday night at 7 o’clock for one hour. Both Catholic and Non-Catholic, who are interested in learning about the Church and its belief, are invited. Father Richart conducts the classes. Masses tomorrow, First Friday, will be at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. There will be no 6:15 a.m. Masses this week. On First Saturday, January 6th, the Mass will be at 8 o’clock in the morning. This is the Feast of the Epiphany. Members of the Altar Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the 8 o’clock Mass Sunday morning. All the ladies of the parish are invited to receive Communion with them. Tomorrow night, a Ladies Party in the school social room at St. Christopher will begin at 7 o’clock and continue until eleven o’clock. The usual dollar donation at the door will be asked. Saturday basketball schedule . . . “67” team plays Holy Trinity at Holy Trinity at 9:00 a.m. and the “Cadet” team plays Christ the King at Chatard at 10:00 a.m. The High Mass at 9 o’clock on New Year’s Day was sung for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher parish. At 8 o’clock Tuesday morning, the High Mass was for Wallace and Julia Gleason at the request of the Maurice Renie family. The John Burkhard family requested that the Mass on Wednesday morning be said for Marie Snyder. This morning the High Mass was for Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McClane. The Robert Spitzer family requested the Mass. On Friday morning, the Mass will be said according to the intention of the William P. Flint family, as requested by Mary Zener. Mary Catherine Parker will be remembered in the Mass Saturday morning. Her sister and family, Don and Jane Vail, requested the Mass. The boys and girls will soon be returning to school, and with their return a lot of enthusiasm for the collecting of S. & H. Green stamps to buy that new St. Christopher grade school bus.
