SMORGASBORD The ladies of Sahara Grotto are having a smorgasbord dinner at Brodey’s Village Inn on Saturday, November 25, 1961. That's the same day the men will have their ceremonial for new candidates at the Grotto Home. The men are invited to join the ladies for dancing after the Grotto classes. When the new equipment is connected to these outside facilities, it will link many outlying telephone offices and thousands of telephones to the automatic accounting machinery which records pertinent information on long distance calls dialed by customers. Technicians from the Western Electric Company began work on the installation project last week. The bulk of the job is scheduled for completion in mid-March, 1962. Additional equipment designed to modernize teletypewriter service in Indiana also is being installed as part of the project. Overall cost of the work to Indiana Bell will be nearly $400,000.
