ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Baby sitting nursery facilities are provided from 9 to 12. The regular Sunday evening youth program continues. This week Junior Choir, Confirmation Classes, and Senior Luther League meet at 6 p.m. At the League meeting Mr. John Bunch will show slides of his recent trip to Europe. Confirmation Choir rehearses this same evening at 7 p.m. Monday evening, November 20, from 7 until 9 will be the first meeting of the Christmas Decorations Project, sponsored by the Fellowship Committee. Mrs. Adrian Breting is in charge of the planning. All those interested in helping make decorations for the church for the Advent-Christmas seasan are invited to attend this meeting. ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) I Ladies Party in the school social room, beginning at 7 o’clock, Friday night, to which the public is invited. Junior CYO, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts will receive corporate Holy Communion Sunday at the eight o’clock Mass. St. Christopher school will hold open house Sunday, November 19th, from 2:30 to 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon. Light refreshments will be served in the social room. Sister Rose Clare is the Superior of the school. Congratulations are being extended to our cadet football team with a 6-1-0 record. And congratulations to Donna Hermann and Richard Wagner. Donna was one of the five overall classifications winners in the citywide parish CYO Cadet Hobby Show in the K. of C. auditorium on November 3, with the beautiful dress she made. Richard Wagner finished first-place in his class with his stamp collection. The winners at the CYO Hobby Show were entitled to exhibit at the Indianapolis Star Hobby Show now in progress. Robert Sullivan has agreed to coach our cadet basketball team and Jim Rolles, formerly on Marian college basketball team, will coach the 67 team. Practice was scheduled for tonight at Holy Trinity from 6:00 to 7:30 o’clock. Robert Kikendall will coach the Junior CYO Freshman-Shopho-more team and Don Murphy the Junior-Senior team. On Monday of this week, the government milk program was started in St. Christopher school on a trial basis, until the first of the year. It is hoped that this program will be successful and can be continued. According to the rules of the program, each child must pay for his milk daily. The High Mass on Monday morning at eight o’dock was sung for John Breen, recently deceased, at the request of James Houk and Leonard Benedetto. John Breen was the brother of James Breen, a charter member of St. Christopher parish. Your prayers are requested for the repose of his soul. On Tuesday morning, the Mass was offered according to the intentions of Kathleen Kritzler, who still is in a hospital in St. Louis. Bertha Peterson requested the Mass. An Anniversary Mass for Herman Medenwald was sung on Wednesday morning at the request of his widow, Letha Medenwald. The deceased relatives and friends of the parishioners of St. Christopher were remembered in the Mass this morning according to the Poor Souls offerings. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rosner requested that the High Mass tomorrow morning be said for Mary Catherine Parker. On Saturday morning, the Mass will be said for Frank Kreffel at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Allen. A new Discussion Group, St. Gerard, has been formed in the Farley Addition. If there is any lady in that neighborhood interested in joining the group, she should call Jackie Hess, CH. 1-9107. Ave Marie Discussion Group met Tuesday night, November 14th, with Jackie Bailey at 8 o’clock. Sue Rosner was the hostess for the Immaculate Conception group on Tuesday evening at 8:15 p m. However, those who did come were enthusiastic and willing to take on responsibilities asked of them. Nevertheless, more adult workers are needed. Will you help? At H. stamps for the children of St. Christopher. A large deposit box is just inside the front doors of the church.
