ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) High School gym. All are welcome—tickets at the door. Members of the Junior CYO, as well as the Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, will receive corporate Holy Communion Sunday at the 8 o’clock Mass. After the Mass, a light breakfast of doughnuts, coffee and milk to which everyone is invited, will be served in the social room of the school. Congratulations to Bill and Rosie Aust of 4921 West 15th Street! A five pound, eleven ounce, girl was born at 9:15 a.m. Monday morning in the Coleman hospital, but up to the time we went to press her name was just Miss Aust. However, whatever her name will be, her brothers, Billy in the 7th grade of St. Christopher school, Tom in the sth, and Paul in kindergarten, and her sister, Becky in the 2d grade, are all excited about their new sister. Mother and daughter are doing fine. And as if one new grandchild in one day isn’t a thrill, Carol Rosner Mertz, now of St. Lawrence parish, presented her parents, Joe and Emma Jean, with another girl Monday evening at St Vincent hospital. The Little Sisters of the Poor were very happy with the generosity of St. Christopher parishioners Sunday in answer to their appeal for funds to care for the aged at their home on Lockerbie street in Indianapolis. The sixth grade of St. Christopher school attended Sacred Heart Devotions Wednesday night in a body. Every Wednesday sjght at 7:30 p.m. there is a half-hour service to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and during the school year one of the older grades attend this service in a body. All true lovers of the Sacred Heart try, if possible, to take part in these perpetual service at St. Christopher Church. Instructions in Christian Doctrine for Catholic boys and girls attending non-Catholic High Schools which are given each Tuesday evening by Father Richart are a must on the part of the parents, as well as the students, Father Lindemann stressed at his Masses on Sunday. Charles Perry (AX. 1-8201) would like to have the parents of any boys interested in having their son or sons become Cub Scouts to contact him as soon as possible, as an attempt is now being made to begin a Cub Scout Pack in the parish.

Any man or boy who would like to sing in St. Christopher choir is invited to join. Choir practices are on Monday evening. Please contact William Meyer (CH. 4-0283) or Carl White (CH. 1-0244), or inquire at the rectory. Annual CYO Fish Fry will be Friday night, October 27th. Plan now to come. All monies netted at this event are used for CYO activities. The food is prepared under the supervision of adult parishioners. Robert Spitzer, lay head of CYO activities, has asked Mrs. Leonard Benedetto to chairman the ladies’ part in the dinner. Our Lady of Fatima Discussion Group met with Morelia Hughes Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. On Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock, the Ave Marie Group met with Joann Sommers. Louis and Mary Gropp were remembered in the High Mass at 8 o’clock on Monday morning at the request of their children. The Mass on Tuesday morning was for Walter Klintworth. Mr. and Mrs. John Dugan requested the Mass. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dadey asked that Mary Catherine Nihil be remembered in the Mass on Wednesday morning. The Mass this morning was for Mary Catherine Parker at the request of the 3rd grade of St. Christopher school. Tomorrow morning friends of John Vaughan have requested the Mass be said for him. Clemens Bergheger will be remembered in the Mass Saturday morning at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Malik. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world. Nora Bray
