The trend of the mental hospital toward a treatment center rather than a custodial institution is steadily increasing. “While in most states the deed is still far behind the wish,” says Mrs. duPont, “many hopeful and promising changes have already begun to take place." The thirty-two page report referred frequently to programs of the Indiana Association.

why the franks are ready to eat when you buy them, for they’ve been completely cooked in steam, water or water spray before they leave the processing plant. Once you’ve purchased the franks, give them the same consideration to maintain their fine flavor. Store them promptly in the refrigerator and use them within a week, advises the American Meat Institute. Don’t freeze franks—they deteriorate in flavor when held at home freezer temperatures, just as other cured and smoked meats do. When you’re ready to serve the franks, heat them just enough to warm them through. The meat protein in franks is equally as nutritious as that in any meat cut, including the noblest steak. They’re just as digestible.

Vocation Driving The traffic safety theme for July has been officially designed “Vacation Driving.” Heavy increases in highway travel are anticipated from increased use of the family car in both extended vacation travel and shorter weekend outings. Traffic officials and safety organizations will be putting forth special efforts to encourage extra care and caution during this heavy period of highway use.

A moment’s inattention can toss your whole vacation for a loss, says the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation. Be alert—Be alive!

More than 210,000 drivers were involved in traffic accidents on Hoosier highways last year, reports the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation. Many of these drivers became statistics because they allowed their attention to be distracted from the road for just an instant. Remember, driving is a full-time job, says the Foundation. Don’t let your attention wander from the road—even for an instant. Don’t gamble in traffic, warns the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation. Remember the cards may be stacked against you! Make that vacation trip a round trip, says the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation. Leave sooner. Drive slower and live longer. ATTEND THE CHURCH OF YOUR CHOICE
