Rules And Regulations Speedway Playgrounds And Recreation Centers BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Recreation of the Town of Speedway that pursuant to Chapter 172 of the Acts of the Indiana General Assembly for the year 1925 that the following rules and regulations be established for all playgrounds and recreation centers established and maintained by said Board: Section 1. Establishment of Rules and Regulations. A. General Safety Rules. (1) No bicycle riding shall be permitted in any playground or recreation center. i(2) No motorized equipment shall be permitted in any playground or recreation center, (model planes shall be flown only in areas on West 16th St. east of midget track.) (3) No horseback riding shall be permitted in any playground or recreation center. (4) No dogs shall be permitted in any playground or recreation

center unless they are on leash. i(5) No structures of any kind shall be erected in any playground or recreation center without the approval of the Board of Recreation. (6) No golf practice shall be permitted in any playground or recreation center except for that area on West 16th Street east of the midget track. (7) All equipment and areas of any playground or recreation center «h»ll be used only for the purpose designed or intended. <B. Rules for Use of Recreational Facilities. (1) Baseball diamonds shall be reserved by persons designated by the Board of Recreation.* C. Specific Rules for Use of Tennis Courts. (1) Only tennis shoes shall be worn on tennis courts. (2) Reservations for tennis courts shall be made at the Park on a schedule provided. (3) Priority shall be given to any reservation holder. (4) Reservations shall be issued on an hourly basis from the period of 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.

(5) Reservations shall be issued not more than one week in advance. (6) Reserved time must be played before a second reservation will be issued and no individual may use the court for two secutive hours if other persons are waiting. (7) Reservations will be issued only in person and may not be obtained by telephone. i(8) Lights for the tennis courts will be turned on from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Central Daylight Time. D. Any person causing injury or damage to playground or recreation center property shall be liable for the amount of the damage so caused. Any intentional injury or defacing the property of any playground or recreation center is expressly prohibited. Section 2. Commissioner of Public Recreation. The Marshal of the Town of Speedway is hereby designated, by virtue of his office, as the Commissioner of Public Recreation. It shall be the duty of the Commissioner of Public Recreation, together with such di-

rectors and assistants which he may appoint, to preserve order and secure the observance of the rules and regulation of the Board of Recreation hereby established. The Commissioner of public Recreation and any directors or assistants which he may appoint shall serve without compensation. Section 3. Penalties. Any person violating any rule or regulation hereby established may be denied the right to use the facilities of any or all playgrounds and recreation centers for such period as may be determined by the Board of Recreation.
