will be dismissed for the summer. The last full day of school will be Friday, June 9. There will be no school on Monday, June 12, and pupils will return for their report cards on Tuesday, June 13. Donna Muncie and Ruth Haettinger will represent Speedway High School in the State Finals of the Indiana High School Forensic Association at New Haven High School on Saturday morning. After winning in the District Contest, Ruth placed Ist in Group Discussion and Donna was 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking at the Zone Contest. Baccalaureate and Commencement for the Class of 1961 are scheduled for May 28 and June 2, respectively. Dr. Ray Montgomery of the Speedway Christian Church will be Baccalaureate speakers and Dr. John E. Horner, President of Hanover College, will deliver the Commencement address. The varsity track squad won two meets last week defeating Mooresville 81-28 and Danville 69% to 39%. The varsity baseball team defeated Center Grove 9 to 8 and the reserve team won from Washington 8 to 5. The golf team lost to Southport by a 10 to 2 score.

Young Settlers will have a “Favorite Dessert” and program next Sunday evening in Fellowship Hall. Monday. The High School “Motet” choir will rehearse—sopranos at 6:45, full choir at 7:00. The Education Committee will meet at 7:30 at the church. (Tuesday. Dorcas Circle will meet with Mrs. Le Roy Vaughn, 7139 Buick Drive. John Andrae will address the Circle on the subject, "Teach Us To Pray.” Kezia Circle will meet in Fellowship Hall at 6:30 for a pitch-in dinner. Dr. Montgomery will be the speaker. The new officers for the coming year will be installed. The World Outreach Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. Evening Circle will meet with Mrs. Elva Harvey, 1744 Beeler, at 7:45 p.m. The program, “No Hands But Our Hands” will be presented by Mary Slipher and Mildred Middaugh. Wednesday. Anna Circle will meet ait 1:00 p.m. for a pitch-in dinner with Tina Lee, 1350 N. Glen Arm Road. Installation of Of-, ficers will be conducted and the program will include “Closing Discussions.” « The Angelus Choir will rehearse at 3:15. Membership and Evangelism will meet at 7:30. Worship and Fine Arts will meet at 7:30. Thursday. Children’s Chorale will rehearse at 3:15; Chapel Choir (boys and girls), at 6:30; Chancel choir, 7:30. Friday, May 5. Singletons Get-Together and program in their class room at 7:30. All single young people between the ages 18 and 35 are invited to join this group. Saturday. The chancel choir will have a make-upSrehearsal at 2:00 p.m. Mother-Daughter Banquet is scheduled for May 9th at 6:30 in Fellowship Hall.
