ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) church saying Mass. “She died just like all old people who keep on going until they can’t go any longer. Then they lie down and go to sleep,” Father said. Joe Burke will be assisted by Messrs. Joe Kreiger, Bob Bailey, Joe Morrison and Leonard Schrader at the Men’s Stag Party tonight in St Christopher’s social room. The party begins at 6:30. A dollar donation at the door is asked. Refreshments are included in the donation. The door prize is quite an attractive figure. At the eight o’clock Mass on Sunday, April 30th, thirty-five girls and forty-seven boys will receive their First Holy Communion. Father Lindemann will celebrate the Mass. Following the Mass the First Communicants will have their picture taken in front of the School. Sister Bernadette and Sister Anthony Marie are first grade teachers. First Holy Communion Day is a very important time in the life of each child. On next Wednesday evening, May 3d, the mothers and daughters will enjoy a pitch-in dinner in the social room of the school. Please note the time for the dinner is 6 o’clock, not 6:30 as in the past. The committee will furnish the meat, drinks and rolls. Each mother should double the amount —or maybe more—of the covered dish she ’usually brings. Mothers will bring vegetables, salads, and desserts. Mothers must also remember to bring not only table service for themselves, but table service for each daughter they bring as well. Members who have no daughters are urged to come to the dinner. After the dinner, the ladies will go up into the church and attend Sacred '"Heart Devotions. After these Devotions, they will elect a new president for 1961-1962. We just learned that George Sauer is in the Veterans Administration Hospital on W. 10th street. George was operated on April 18th, but we were told is doing fine. He does not know though when he may get to come home. His room is A-451. Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Mary C. Nib ill who died last week in her home, 5761 Cadillac Drive. Services were at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock in St. Christopher Church, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. While housecleaning the Catholic Salvage Bureau (ME. 2-3155) would appreciate a call to pick up your discarded clothing, furniture and household items. Thursday is pick-up day for the West side. The High Masses celebrated at 8 o’clock each morning this week were as follows: on Monday for Katherine McClane requested by the Robert Spitzer family; on Tuesday for William Kaufman by
