Fred Zimmer, 1936 Cunningham Road, has been named chairman of the Witness Committee of the Metropolitan Lutheran Council of Greater Indianapolis. The Council, composed of two elected lay representatives from each National Lutheran Council Congregation in the area, was formed a year ago to coordinate Lutheran work in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Fred is a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church here in Speedway, secretary of the building committee, and a former church councilman. The Witness Committee will be in charge of plans for joint Evangelism and outreach by the congregations, as well as handling joint publicity and special events.
