Easter Seal Campaign The 1961 Easter Seal campaign in Central Indiana will be headed by Thomas W. Binford, well known business and civic leader in Indianapolis and president of the United States Auto Club. His appointment was announced this week by Noble L. Biddinger, president of the board of Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, the Easter Seal agency which serves crippled children and adults in Indianapolis and surrounding counties.
Binford will preside at the campaign kickoff luncheon March 1 at Crossroads. There will be no sale of Easter Seals in Marion County because Crossroads is a member of the United Fund here, Binford said. However, the traditional seals will be mailed to local residents with a “thank-you” message for their support of the United Fund. An envelop for contributions to the work at Crossroads will accompany seals mailed to residents of Hendricks, Boone and Shelby counties. The campaign ends officially on Easter Sunday which falls on April 2 this year.
