They along with several adult volunteers are now undergoing a training course designed by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Within the next year it is also hoped to have all rescue members obtain an advanced first aid card. Even the best of technical and practical training is useless without proper equipment. maintenance truck recently purchased from Indiana Bell Telephone. It was just retired from active duty and has such equipment as 2 seperate variable speed winches, 2 seperate power take offs, an enclosed extra crew cab, tripod lever extensions, many external closed compartments, etc. We now have approximately 1/3 of the rescue equipment to properly outfit the truck. Two portable two-way radios for keeping in touch with rescue teams from the truck are available. This years budget includes a two-way radio for the truck on the Speedway town government frequency
