Each month your family could spend 10 minutes on one practice exercise and go thru the booklet. These packets are for your use and will not be duplicated. It is hoped that you will add booklets and information to them. Only you can decide how much good these packets are because you will give them worth or uselessness by your actions. When a scout knocks or rings your doorbell December 3rd three times, you will know he has left your Survival Packet. In case any family does not receive their’s on December 3rd by 7:00 p.m., please call AX. 1-4066 and one will be personally delivered to you. The new Fire Warning and Civilian Defense siren has been made possible only thru the efforts of many persons. I would especially like to thank the Speedway Town Board, New York Central System, Indianapolis Power and Light, Indiana Bell Telephone, Midwest Fire and Safety Co., and Hatfield Electric Co. The new siren will be sounded on December 7th according to the schedule published in your packets and in another portion of the Flyer. Next week’s article will describe how our siren is part of a nationwide warning system in—“C. D. Warning System.” Eli Lilly News Raymond O.
