This Sunday we will be uniting with thousands of churches across the country in observing Laymen’s Day. This special day, in which we officially recognize the outstanding service rendered by the laity of the church, is becoming a national observance. At both the 9:00 and 10:45 o’clock services, Mr. Donald F. Ross, President of our Methodist Men, will speak. Mr. Craig K. Kleinknight, Lay Leader, and Mr. Floyd F. Farley, Lay Member to Annual Conference, will share in the services. At the 9:00 o’clock hour, the Immanuel Choir (youth) will sing the Anthem, “Deep River”—Spiritual The Chancel Choir will sing the Anthem, “Wondrous Love” by Christransen at the 10:45 o’clock service. At the latter service Mrs. Carl I. Schweizer and Mr. Jack Moe will sing the Offertory Duet, “I Will Give You Rest” by Porter. The third Sunday of our Church Loyalty Crusade will be observed this Sunday. The goal of the emphasis is: “Every Member Worshipping In God’s House Each Week.” Members of the Senior MYF Council worship at the 9:00 o’clock service on Sunday, October 16, and have a council meeting at 10:45 a.m. All officers and counsellors are asked to be present.
