town will finance the street improvement. This is an improvement long overdue and was accomplished by the efforts of a few of the property owners living on 16th working as a committee. Northwest District Sewer is still a trouble spot. Now that the reconstruction is complete and the sewer approved for use many of the property owners living in the district think the property assessment is too high in comparison to the assessment on the Shopping Center and the Falenders Development grounds. The Indianapolis Transit Co. is making a survey in Meadowood Addition relative to extending bus service. The law firm of Ross McCord Ice and Miller who have been legal council for the Town of Speedway has resigned as of December 31st The firm of Ryder and Roberts has been chosen to succeed them. It holds 500,000 gallons and casts a long shadow. Mr. Paul Alsmeyer has resigned as electrical inspector. Mr. Charles Renie has been appointed as replacement.
