If you do not have a church home near enough to attend regularly, we invite you to worship with us. Commission on Christian Social Relations will meet tonight, Thursday, at 7:30 pjm., at the church. Crusaders Choir (4th, sth, and 6th grade) will have its first rehearsal of the Fall Season on Friday, Sept. 9, at 3:15 p.m., at the church. Newcomers are invited. Mrs. Rosemary Mclntosh Moe is director. Immanuel Choir (7th, Bth grade, and High School) will have its first rehearsal on Friday, Sept. 9, at 4:15 p.m., at the church. Former members of the choir plus newcomers who would like to sing are invited. Dr. Trusler, Director of the School of Music at DePauw University, is director. Chancel Choir (adult) will have a “Kick-Off* rehearsal and party on Friday, Sept. 9, at 7:00 p.m., at the church. All Chancel Choir members and husbands or wives are invited. Too, new persons interested in singing in the Chancel Choir are very cordially invited. We need you. Following the rehearsal the group will go to the Floyd Farley home, 5509 W. 16th St. for a party. A very enjoyable evening has been planned. Dr. Trusler is director; Mrs. Floyd Farley is organist. The Great Day is this Sunday. We .will begin using our new worship and Church School facilities for the first time. We will begin our worship and our Church School classes in the “old” facilities first and will conclude the services and classes in the “new.” A thrilling experience awaits our worshippers this Sunday. “A Good Word For Jesus Christ” is the theme on which Rev. Wright will speak at both the 9:00 and 10:45 services of worship on Sunday, Sept. 11. Return Sunday will be observed. Our people are invited to return to their places in church and in the church school clashes. Our Fall schedule of services and activities officially begins. Special music will be sung at both morning services. The Chancel Choir returns to begin another year of service to Christ’s Church and will sing at both services this Sunday. A friendly welcome awaits you. Music Committee will meet on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 3:00 p.m., at the church. Methodist Youth Fellowship Fall Program gets underway this Sunday, Sept. 11, at 5:30 p.m., at the church with a big “Kick-Off.” All 7th, Bth graders, and High School young people are invited. The Intermediates will be meeting separately from the High School M.Y.F. for the evening activities. A swell evening has been planned. See you at the M.Y.F. “Kick-Off.” Trustees will meet on Monday, Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m., at the church. Official Board will meeit on Monday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 p.m., at the church. Last Sunday it was our privilege to baptize Jeffrey Jarrell Ferguson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jarrell L. Hauburgers Have Beeom Big Business Capable of producing up to 609 broiled hamburgers every hour,, the local Burger Chef drive-in, typical of thoce across the nation, is a new business force in the community which is contributing substantially to daily purchases of foods and supplies. Open each day from 11 ajn. to II pan., the Burger Chef operation when at full capacity can turn cot well over two and a half milßon hamburgers a year. Thousands of dozens of buns and tons of lean, select quality beef plus many gallons of catsup and mustard are purchased from local food suppliers to swell die total area sales. A steady flow of milk shakes and other beverages calls for daily deliveries from local dairies and soft drink suppliers. The average store uses 10,000 gallons of milk per year for milk shakes. In addition to die-purchase of supplies, the Burger Chef drive-in also contributes to area payrolls through employment of local individuals who operate the automated hamburger and milk shake equipment.
