The High Mass on Monday morning this week at 8 o’clock was for a special intention. Letha Medenwald requested the Mass on Tuesday morning be said for Herman Medenwald. On Wednesday morning, the Mass was for the parish. Herschel Long was remembered this morning in the Mass at the request of the employees of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The Mass 6n Friday morning will be for Robert Cooney Leonard. Aileen Kopp requested the Mass. On Saturday morning the deceased members of the Mullenholtz and Fierek families will be remembered in the Mass at the request of the Ed Fierek family. After the Communion of the Mass at all the Masses on Sunday the Mission Sisters of the Sacred Heart will accept your offerings for the Missions. -Their Mother House is in the East. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings the men of the parish helped with the work on the new school rooms. { Tomorrow readiness tests will be held for the first grade children. Boys will be tested at 9:00 a.m. and girls at 1:30 p.m. Registration was held Tuesday for all pupils who plan to attend St. Christopher school this year. All grade school boys interested in playing on the Cadet football team this year are requested to attend a meeting in the church social room Saturday, August 27th, at 1:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Parker and Nora Bray attended the regular Third Order of St. Francis of Assisi meeting at Alverna last Monday night. If there is anyone in the parish interested in becoming a lay member of the Third Order or learning more about it, he or she should call Nora Bray, CH. 1-5816. There were not 6:15 a.m. Masses this week Tuesday through Friday, because Father Terrill was on retreat. However, early Holy Communions were given by Father Lindemann. On Saturday morning, there will be a 6:15 a.m. Mass. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world. Nora Bray
