COLLINS-PARKE WEDDING READ
A melody, “Brett’s Love Song,” played during the weddings of the mother and grandmother of the bride, was heard as Miss Margaret Alice Parke and James Baldwin Collins exchanged dou-ble-ring marriage vows before Dr. Ray H. Montgomery at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in Speedway Christian Church. Mrs. Thomas Potter was matron of honor for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Parke, 5571 Broadmoor Plaza. Miss Analie Shultheis, Miss Sandra Orbison of Ludington, Mich., and Miss Judith Bergen of Danville were bridesmaids and Diane Golay and Pamela Genung, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Mr. Collins, son or Mrs. Waneta Collins of Tipton and the late Dr. Robert J. Collins, had his brother, William E. Collins, as best man. Ushers were Ronald deLanglade of West Lafayette, Ray Pickett of Kansas City, Mo., and Maurice Core of Washington, D.C. Miss Parke selected for her wedding a princess style gown of white silk organza over taffeta, hand clipped Chantilly lace forming the bodice and long sleeves.. Seed pearls were embroidered at the sabrina neckline. Folds of organza accented the empire bodice and extended into two roses at the back waistline. Pyramids of scalloped Chantilly lace were etched on each panel of the organza forming the skirt which fell into a chapel train. Her fin-ger-tip silk illusion veil was held by a crown of seed pearls and she carried a pure white orchid, stephanotis and phaleanopsis. Attendants were gowned alike in street-length hyancinth sheath dresses of silk organza over taffeta fashioned with bows and back panels. Headbands were accented with bows and circular veils. They carried wedding rings made of white feathered carnations and French iris with white streamers. The flower girls wore white embroidered nylon dresses with full skirts and hyacinth-colored cummerbunds. They wore headpieces of white and hyacinth-colored flowers and carried baskets of white rose petals.
There was a reception in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. For a wedding trip to the Berkshire Mountains, the bride selected a powder blue silk organza costume. After July 1 the couple will be at home in 49 North St., Agawam, Mass. SAVE YOUR PAPERS!!! BOY SCOUT TROOP 66 PAPER SALE JULY Ist and 2nd
