Thank you for helping to make last Sunday’s Cornerstone Laying Service for our new church such a happy and memorable occasion. At 7:00 a.m. next Sunday Breakfast will be served in Fellowship Hall for all the young people who will be going to Church Camp or Conferennce. The second reading of nominees for the Official Board will take place at both worship services next Sunday. Senior Hi CYF. Next Sunday evening is an important date for all Senior Hi CYFers. At 6:30 they will meet around the tables in Fellowship Hall with their families for favorite dessert and fun time. There will be a special table for High School seniors. Installation of officers will be held in the Sanctuary at 7:45 and all newly elected officers, committee chairmen, advisors and committee members should be present. Vacation Church School will begin Monday, June 13 for a period of two weeks, Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Christian Women’s Fellowship will hold their workshop in Fellowship Hall next Monday, June 13th at 7:30 p.m. All Circle headers and committee chairmen, and General Fellowship officers will attend this workshop to assist them in their duties for the coming year. The Pastor’s Cabinet meeting will be held on Monday, June 13th at 7:30 p.m. The Education Committee meeting has been changed from Monday to Tuesday, June 14th at 7:30 p.m. The Executive Committee of the Official Board will meet Tuesday, June 14th, 7:30 p.m. Los Amigos Class will net have its regularly scheduled party on Friday, June 10th. During the summer months the class will meet on Sunday mornings with the Young Settlers Class for a series of films on the life of Paul.

Terry Coppock and Daniel Brauer will enter Ben Davis high. James McCain will be among the freshmen at Speedvzay and Philip Wittman will be among the freshmen at Washington. Kathleen Burke won a scholarship of one hundred dollars at St. Mary Academy for an essay in a contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Sharon Egler won a scholarship in the Scholastic Test offered by the Fathers’ Club of Saint Mary Academy of one hundred dollars for the school year 1960-61. Frank Sherman was one of three residents of Speedway and one of the 27 high school pupils of Marion County named to participate in a special science training program at Butler University June 17 to August 2d. Last Thursday and Friday, June 2d and 3d, these graduates were in a two-day Retreat. On Tuesday of this week the graduates had a picnic at McCormick Creek. The servers at Mass and the members of the choir enjoyed a picnic at Brown County on Monday St. Christopher school will close on Friday, June 10th. The Men of St. Christopher Spring Retreat will be held at Alverna Retreat House, Indianapolis, this week-end, June 10th, Uth, annd 12th. Mothers of second, third and fourth graders who have been attending public school and religion instructions have been requested to meet at the rectory for a brief meeting on Friday (tomorrow) June 10th, at 3:45 p.m. Junior CYO Golf Tourney is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, at 9:30 a m. at Willowbrook Golf Club. CYOers interested in participation are asked to contact Father Terrill this week. Confirmation for adults only will be held at the Cathedral June 19th. Any adult of St. Christopher who has not been confirmed is asked to call at the rectory to make the necessary arrangements. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of this week are Ember Days.
