Tommie Kiefer was born at the Methodist hospital on Saturday, April 23d. Now Jimmie, who is two, will soon have somebody to play with him. We congratulate the newly elected officers of the Altar Society: Mrs. Joseph Gelman, Jr., president; Mrs. Elmer Cooper and Mrs. Paul Finnerty, first and second-vice-presidents; Mrs. Paul DeWitt, recording secretary; Mrs. Leonard Schrader, corresponding secretary: and, Mrs William Sherman, treasurer. These ladies will be installed in office at the regular monthly meeting in June, Wednesday night, June Ist. We congratulate the newly elected officers of the Holy Name Society: Kenneth Thomas, president; Richard Carroll, vice-president; John Dunn, secretary; and, Joseph Zishka, treasurer. Installation of the newly elected officers of the Holy Name Society will be on Sunday, June 12th, following the eight o’clock Mass. Father William Stineman, professor at Marian Coliege, became professor and assistant chaplain at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College at Terre Haute, May 17. Father Stineman received his degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education at Saint Louis University Graduate School on April 28th. Father Stineman coming over from Marian College was an acting assistant at St. Christopher before Father Terrill became the permanent assistant. The kick-off dinner is being held tonight in the social room for all St. Christopher workers on the Catholic High School Fund Drive. Every man who is to be a worker has been invited and urged to attend. I hese workers will call on the members of the parish Sunday, May 22nd. The annual Cadet CYO Track Meet will be held at the CYO Stadium Saturday, May 21st, beginning at one o’clock. Ave Marie Discussion Group met with Mrs. Harry Parker on Tuesday evening, May 17, at eight o’clock. Holy Trinity is having their annual Festival the week-end of the 500-Mile Race.
