Robert Rounseville, popular concert tenor, and Barbara Meister of the New York City Opera will play the romantic couple, NankiPoo and Yum-Yum. Martyn Green has prepared the TV adaptation of “The Mikado” from the original score and will stage and direct the production. He is considered one of the greatest of all Gilbert and Sullivan specialists, having spent most of his theatrical career playing major roles in their operettas. Donald Voorhees and the Bell Telephone Orchestra will provide the accompaniments for the familiar “Mikado” songs.

ST. CBUSTBHER’S CATWUC CHUBOI (Continued from Page 1) CH. 1 3458. Friday, tomorrow, April 29th, was scheduled as B. E. Day, a free day at St Christopher school; but it has been cancelled. Catholic schools will have school to make up time lost because of the snow this winter. New registrations for St. Christopher school next September are being accepted this week, Monday through Friday, from 3 pm. to 4 pm. in the first grade room. Members of the Altar Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the eight o’clock Mass Sunday. Ladies are asked to meet in the social room about five or ten minutes before the Mass. On Sunday evening at 7:30, May Crowning services will be at St. Christopher church. This will be a beautiful ceremony with the eighth grade girls in their graduation dresses, the choir boys in their special outfits, and all the children from the first through the seventh grades taking part. Catherine Burke will crown the Holy Mother Mary. Altar Society will have a pitch-in dinner at their regular monthly meeting, Wednesday, May 4th, beginning at 6:30 pm. The committee will furnish the meat, rolls and drinks, as usual. Each lady is requested to bring a covered dish, vegetable, salad or dessert, and her own tab’e service.
