School will be dismissed at the end of the day tomorrow (Friday) for Spring Vacation. Classes will be resumed Monday, April 18. The Cadet and Varsity bands will play in the band contest to be held at Mooresville this Saturday, April 9. Bands will perform in the new Mooresville High School Gymnasium. Both Speedway bands will be competing in Class B for the first time since the total high school enrollment surpasses 500 this year. In previous years the bands have been competing in Class C. The Cadet Band is scheduled to play at 2:30 p.m., CDT, and the High School Band at 4:10 p.m., CDT. The public is invited to attend. The 14th annual convention of the Indiana Future Business Leaders of America was held at Ball State Teachers College Friday and Saturday, March 25 and 26. Members of the Speedway FBLA club attending on Saturday were: Barbara Kildsig, Julie Whyte, Donna Muncie, Nancy Ellwanger, and Suzanne Smith accompanied by Mr. Foland, business education teacher.
