Speedway Sertoma Club Wm. O. Cass was guest speaker far the Speedway 500 Sertoma Club Noon Luncheon January 27, 1960 at the Holliday Inn, Speedway City. Mr. Cass resides at 5100 East 82nd Street. He is a Committee Member at the 1960 Olympics, to be held in Italy. His son will be competing in the Olympic Jr. Swimming Division. Both Mr. Cass and son will be going to Italy. Bean Supper The Ben Davis Lions Club is sponsoring their annual Bean Supper, Saturday evening, February 6th. The Bean Supper will be served 4:30 to 9:00 pjn. at the Ben Davis High School Cafeteria. General Chairman, Bill Girt on, has announced that the menu will include beans, com bread, salad, pie and drink. Adults SI.OO and children 75c. Games and card facilities will also be provided. A.D.O. Sorority Meeting The regular meeting of Epsilon Chapter Alpha Delta Omega Sorority will be held at the home of Mrs. Jane Seitz, 5223 W. 16th St., Thursday, February 4 at 8 p.m. Mrs. Nila Heston will be assistant hostess. Our program will be “Happy Birthday.” The Social Committee will have charge in celebration of the Chapter’s 15th Anniversary. Plans are being made for “Founders Day,” February 18. Epsilon is Chapter Hostess for this event.
Jolly Homemakers The Jolly Homemakers will meet on February 10th at the home of Mrs. Ralph Wegener, 6103 Maren Drive. Indpls. Hiking Club On Sunday, February 7, the Indianapolis Hiking Club will hike in Morgan Monroe State Forest. Meet on the east side of the State House at 1:00 p.m., and bring food for an evening cookout. Leader: Dave Weeden, ST. 6-9583. 15 Employees Receive Service Awards Linde Company, Division of Union Carbide, congratulates its 15 employees who completed 25 years of service in 1959. Among those receiving watches and service certificates were six Speedway residents, John S. Merritt, Loyd Dragoo, Kenneth Smith, Clarence Arbuckle, Kermit Flanagan, and Kenneth Toney.
