North Central High School is in first place, and following Speedway in the standings are Arsenal Technical, Ben Davis, Howe, Washington, and Columbus. The varsity basketball team was defeated twice over the weekend losing to Danville 67-54 on Friday night and to Washington 76-55 on Saturday night. The reserves won from Danville 39-27 and lost to Washington 38-24. The seventh grade team won from Clermont 38-13 last Wednesday. The eighth grade was defeated 41-24. In the Mid-State Freshman Tourney held at Speedway, Plainfield defeated Center Grove in the final game. The Speedway freshmen lost to Greenwood 25-21.
