, ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Mary Burke. Jack Craig would appreciate your prayers for his speedy recovery, your visits and cards. Jack is at Robert Long hospital, Room 633. He had a 'major operation on his legs Monday of this week. Dates for the'Ladies Social Parties at St. Christopher for January and February have been announced. They are January 15th and 29th and February 12th and 26th. Circle these Friday night dates on your calendars all you ladies who enjoy these parties. There will be a continuous serving of food, cafeteria style, for free, from 7 to 11 o’clock. There will be fish and cheese sandwiches, potato chips and a variety of drinks offered. Donation at the door will be SI.OO. On January 15th, a fifty dollar door prize will be awarded to some lucky lady present, but she must be present to win. If she is not present, the door prize for the party on January 29th will be increased with the attendance on that night. Mrs. William Yoder, president of the Altar Society, is general chairman for these parties. We were happy to see Louise Wolfla at church Sunday morning. Mrs. Chas. Goldey is home from the Methodist hospital. Guest speaker at the Altar Society Wednesday evening was Dave Levendoski of the Indiana State Police. Old Gold is still needed by Father Lindemann for a new Ciborium. Ave Marie Study Group met with Dorothy Krieger on Tuesday evening, January sth at 8 p.m. Sacred Heart Study Group met with Rose Sherman on Monday night, January 4th, at the same hour. Religion Instructions for the boys and girls attending public grade schools and public high schools were resumed this week at the regular schedule. The Third Annual Christian Family Day will be held at Marian College Sunday afternoon, January 10th. An interestin, informative program has been arranged. Panels and talks centered around various aspects of Family Life in today’s society will be offered. Registration begins at one o’clock (E.S.T.) The opening session is at 1:30 p.m. Benediction at 5 o'clock will close the day. Registration fee is fifty cents per couple. All are invited. Congratulations to Kathleen Burke, winner in the recent essay contest! St. Christopher church and St. Christopher school are very happy for you and of you.
