ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) 14th and Meridian streets, Indianapolis, tomorrow night. Saturday is the First Saturday. Remembering the promise of Our Lady of Fatima to the three children, surely every member of St. Christopher will try to receive Holy Communion, and attend Mass if possible, on the First Saturdays for peace in the world. Father Carty, the Street and Radio Preacher and Co-Author of Radio Replies, will speak at all the Masses in St. Christopher Sunday. He hopes by his coming to get Quiz Literature into all the homes where it is especially needed. Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Clara Anora Catt who died Sunday, November 22d, at St. Vincent hospital. Services were held at 8:30 last Wednesday morning in Congle Speedway Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock in St. Christopher Church. Members of the Altar Society of St. Christopher of which Mrs. Catt was a member gathered at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening for recitation of the Rosary. Tuesday, December Bth, will be a free day at St. Christopher school because it is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a Holy day. Masses at St. Christopher will be said at 6:00, 7:30, and 9:00 o’clock in the morning and at 8 o’clock in the evening. Monday, December 7th, is a day of fast and total abstinence. Sisters of St. Francis at St. Christopher school wish to thank everyone who so generously remembered them at Thanksgiving time. Miss Frances Wiley, Father Lindemann’s housekeeper, who was in St. Vincent hospital last week for an ear operation is getting along fine and is recuperating at the home of a relative at 1207 North Riley in Indianapolis. On Monday morning, Father Lindemann remembered the living and the deceased members of St. Christopher parish at the 8 o’clock High Mass. An Anniversary High Mass was said on Tuesday morning for Raymond Issen at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Issen. The deceased relatives and friends of St. Christopher members were remembered in the Mass yesterday morning. This morning the Mass was said for Herman Medenwald at the request of his widow, Letha Medenwald. Tomorrow morning an Anniversary Mass will be said for Joseph Kempf at the request of the Mrs. Joseph Kempf family. Congratulations to Jim Rolles! Jim made the 1959-60 basketball squad at Marian College. Don’t wait too long to get your Christmas pecans and be disappointed to learn that they’re all gone. Lady of Fatima Discussion group met with Barbara Finnegan on Monday evening at 8:30 o’clock. All Irish Catholics by birth or descent have been invited to attend an open meeting of the newly organized Kevin Barry Division of the A.O.H. at St. Joseph’s Hall, 140 S. Mickley Avenue this evening at 8:15. Father Carey of St. Joseph parish is chaplain. Sunday began the Holy Season of Advent, and the beginning of a new church year, which literally means “The Coming.” This season comprises the four weeks before Christmas. It is the time of spiritual preparation for Christ’s coming. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world. Nora Bray
