Speedway Civil Defense Notice During this week a booklet entitled “Home Protection Exercises” will be personally distributed to every home in Speedway by members of Scout Troop 66 and Explorer Post 66. This booklet contains the most complete, concise, and up to date information regarding how each family can best prepare themselves to meet any disaster, be it natural or otherwise. The foundation of any good Civilian Defense program is based upon each family being prepared to meet their own needs in time of disaster. It is therefore urged that each family spend a few minutes going thru this booklet together and strengthening their own defenses. Supplementary pamphlets are available for persons desiring more complete information on any of the topics covered in this booklet. An office has been established in the Speedway Town Hall opposite the Fire Office, which will be occupied every Wednesday evening between 7 to 9 p.m. to answer any questions concerning the Speedway Civil Defense program.
