The Board has granted sewer connection privileges to Tomlinson Motor Court. The connection fee will be $5,000 which will be applied to the overall cost of the sewer construction. A new elevated water storage tank will be erected in the near Northeast corner of Meadowood Park. It will be of modem design, (sphere shape on a pedestal). It will have a capacity of 500,000 gallon. The tower will be 90 feet high with a 37 foot head range. Pittsburg Des-Monies Steel Company were the successful bidders with a proposal of $92,620. The Marion County Tax Adjustment Board has reduced the proposed tax rate twelve (.12) cents on each one-hundred ($100) dollars property valuation. The State Tax Board will review it again in October. All Junior Leaders at the troop will attend a leaders training program to be held at Camp Kiwanis September 26th and 27th.
