Speedway Little League Football The season got off to a fine start with the Jamboree ait the High School Field last Saturday night The beginners division (3rd-4th grades) started the evening with a very good 13 to 0 game. South over the North. D. Rains made both TD’s on two very well executed end runs of over 50 yards each. Jordan added the PAT. Jim Baker had the misfortune of getting his arm fractured. Jimmy may be little but he was the biggest and bravest man on the field when he was rushed to the hospital and had him arm set. There’ll be a spot on the team for you, Jimmy, when the Doc gives his O.K. In the intermediate division (sth--6th grades) the South defeated the North 6 to 0. The TD was made by Wilkerson of the Yellow Jackets. All of these teams seem very well balanced and should put up some good scraps at the 22nd St. Football Field every Saturday morning. Come up and watch them. The backs of the Jr. Spark Plugs couldn’t be contained and romped over the St. Christopher Cadets 33 to 0. Maple, Zonniger and Smith each got a TD; Roach got two; Maple, Hacket and Curtis each added a PAT. Between game entertainment was provided by the Speedway High School Majorettes. At 7:30 this evening the Jr. Spark Plugs will host the Greenfield Boys Club at the High School Field. Come out and see a good game. Admission Free.
