Leadership Training School Sixteen leaders of religious thought and specialists in Christian education will teach in the Church Federation’s Leadership Training School of Religion six consecutive Monday nights beginning October 19, at Central Christian Church, 701 Ft. Wayne Avenue. The pressing need for a larger number and more adequately trained Christian education leaders is felt by all denominations. In meeting its responsibilities, the Christian Education Division of the Church Federation conducts an annual training school which stresses sound teaching methods, spiritual growth and development of the teacher, and the importance of the Bible in Christian education.

Butler Registration Registration for classes at Butler University will begin Thursday, September 17, Dr. C. R. Maxam, university registrar, has announced. Enrolling hours for day students will be 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Evening students will register from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Classes will start Monday, Septemper 21. The last day of registration will be Wednesday, September 30. Commission on Stewardship and Finance meeting scheduled for tonight will be held on Tuesday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m., at the church. “The Triumphant Church” is the theme on which Rev. Wright will speak at both services of worship on Sunday, September 20. Our Chancel Choir will make its second appearance of the Fall Season at the 10:45 o’clock service under the direction of Mrs. Robert C. Borst with Mrs. Floyd F. Farley as organist. At both morning services Mrs. Victor L. Husser will be the offertory soloist and will sing “Bless This House.” At the 10:45 service the Chancel Choir will sing the Anthem, “But The Lord is Mindful of His Own” by Mendelssohn. All teachers, associate teachers, officers, youth counsellors, and Commission on Education members will be formally consecrated at the two services of worship.
