WESTWOOD NEWS The first Square Dance of the winter season will be held Saturday night, Sept. 5, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the Club Ballroom. Gabe Owens will be the caller. Mr. Don Cedars, Chairman of the square dance committee has also announced that square dance lessons will be given starting Monday night, September 21, from 8:15 to 10:15 p.m. There will be a series of 10 lessons given under the instruction of Gabe Owens at a cost of SIO.OO per couple for members and $12.00 per couple for non members. The Westwood Bowling League will start their season on Friday, Sept. 4th. There are still a few individual openings and one team opening. Anyone interested in bowling call Mrs. Vi Butler, CH. 4-5108 for further information. The Swim Team party will be held Tuesday night, Sept. Bth in the Club ballroom at 7:30 p.m. There will be the presentation of Awards to the Swimmers. The sth Grade party will be held Saturday, Sept. 12th from 7:30 to 9:30. Mrs. Jean Nilson, Chairman of the 7th and Bth Grade Canteen has announced that ballroom dance lessons will be given to the 7th and Bth Graders beginning Monday night, Sept. 28. Johnny Black will be the instructor and the series of 10 lessons will be given for SB.OO to members and SIO.OO for non-members.
