Two nuns did not return, Sister Mary Carmel who is teaching at Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Sister M. Julia who is going to remain at the motherhouse at Oldenburg, Indiana. But two other nuns were sent to St. Christopher, Sister Bernadette and Sister Davida who will both be teaching the first grade. Miss Kay Warren will teach one section of the second grade and Sister Catherine Mary will teach another section of the second grade and a section of the third grade. Mrs. William Schultz will teach the second section of ithe third grade. Miss Ann Beamard will teach part of the fourth grade and Mrs. Rachel Joyce will teach the other part of the fourth grade and a part of the fifth grade. Miss Sheila Fox will teach another part of the fifth grade. Sister Mary Susan will teach the sixth grade. Sister Agnes Marie will teach the seventh grade. Sister Mary Denis, superior of the school, will teach the eighth grade. Sister Helen Cecilia will teach music and will also give private lessons. Sister Marciana returned to be the housekeeper ait the Convent. High Mass at 8 o’clock Monday morning was requested by Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Simonolig for Gabriel Rust. On Tuesday morning the Mass was said for Catherine Crehan at the request of Marcella and Harry Gillespie. Mrs. Walter D. Boyer requested the Mass on Wednesday morning for Walter D. Boyer. Paul Mullenholz was remembered in the Mass this morning at the request of the Ed Fierek family. High Mass tomorrow morning will be said for Ann Worthington at the request of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gimple. John Walter Sapeth of Ft. Wayne, Indiana was married to Nancy Ellen Wilson of Speedway at eleven-thirty in St. Christopher church Saturday morning. The bride’s mother is Mrs. Albert O. Wilson of 1742 Allison. May we add our congratulations! Miss Jean Marie Cleveland, graduate of Scecina Memorial High School, will enter the novitiate of the Order of the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, September 8. Open house was held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 at the home of her mother, Mrs. Rosemary Cleveland. The Clevelands were former members of St. Christopher parish. The people were disappointed again last Friday afternoon. The hearing in Court Room 6 downtown on anti-obscenity literature was postponed until Friday afternoon, September 11th, at 4 o’clock. Next week end St. Malachy’s at Brownsburg will be having their Annual Picnic—Saturday evening, September sth, and Sunday, September Sth. In the past, these affairs have always proved most enjoyable and there has always been a lot of good food. In the Sunday Bulletin, it was announced that a brown leather key case containing four keys may have been lost in the vicinity of St. Christopher. Finder was asked to return same to rectory and receive reward. Monday night, August 31st, at 7:30 o’clock, all grade school boys of St. Christopher school who were interested in playing on the 100 pound or cadet football teams, held a meeting with their parents at the school.
