St. Christopher’s Catholic Church 5335 West 18th Street Rev. L. A. Lindemann Pastor Rev. R. J. Terrill Assistant Pastor Sunday Masses: 6:30—8 :00—10:00—11:30 The Junior Q.Y.O. will receive Holy Communion in a group at the 8 o’clock Mass Sunday morning. A light breakfast of doughnuts, coffee and milk will be served in the social room following the Mass. Everyone is invited to the breakfast. The silver offerings received at these C.Y.O. breakfasts the third Sunday in the month are one of the ways of providing the C.Y.O. with funds to promote their endeavors. Father Lindemann is still asking for old gold. He told us Sunday that the old wedding rings of your mother, grandmother or aunt and your grandfather’s or great-grandfather’s watches have real gold in them. If anyone has old jewelry—or gold in any form—and doesn’t .know how much real gold is there, Father asked that the articles be brought to him and let him be the judge. Just don’t put off taking the articles to him and have the misfortune happen to you as did to one family who had promised Father old gold. One day a thief broke in and took all the jewelry. PAPER SALE Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 24, 25 and 26. If anyone has papers, magazines or corrugated boxes and just has no way to bring them down, will he please call Mrs. Carl Otte, CH. 4-8446, chairman, or if no. one answers call Mrs. William Yoder, CH. 1-3458, president of the Altar Society, and arrangements will be made for pick-up. But all who can should try to bring their papers and magazines and help to fill the cates which will be waiting on W. 15th street back of the school. The High Mass at 8 o’clock on Monday morning was offered for Hugh Mullendolz at the request of the Ed Fierek family. Mrs. W. D. Boyer requested that the High Mass on Tuesday morning remember her husband, Walter D. Boyer. Isabell McKeown was remembered in the High Mass on Wednesday morning at the request of the Phil Kritzler family. (Continued on page 7)
