PLAYGROUND NEWS (Continued from Page 1) 8-year-olds will play. After two weeks we plan to shift this program back to the morning hours. This program consists of baseball fundamentals; we shall attempt to teach the elements of catching, throwing, batting, and basically how the game is played. All boys are expected to furnish their own gloves, no spikes, and wear a baseball cap. The Story Hour will begin at 9 а. on Wednesday, June 17, at the Main Park and at 10:30 a.m. in the Meadowoood Park. Stories will be selected which will appeal to the pre-school youngsters primarily, but all children are welcome. Girls who wish to play softball should meet in the Main Park on Tuesday morning at 10:00 for an organization meeting with Miss Nancy Beaman, who will be in charge of this activity and other activities at the Main Park during the summer. We have tried to plan a variety of games this summer that will be attractive to all ages and instructive in desirable recreation activities. No youngster will be permitted to violate the rules that must be enforced by the three supervisors: Miss Middaugh, Miss Beaman, and Mr.’■Burns. If repeated violations occur, the youngster will be sent home, and you will be notified by telephone as to the reason. The hours of supervision in the parks will be from 8:15 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays. Women's Auxiliary Sahara Grotto The Women’s Auxiliary of Sahara Grotto will have their regular meeting at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Grotto Club House, 4107 East Washington Street. Following the meeting, the Auxiliary will entertain the wives of the new Prophets who were initiated into the Grotto on June б, with a tea.
