ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) meeting. Last Tuesday evening, the Immaculate Conception Study Group was formed and held its organizational meeting at the home of Mrs. Joseph Daley. This group will hold its first regular meeting Tuesday evening, February 10th, at 8 o’clock, with Mrs. Jean Dwyer, 6315 Gifford. Sacred Heart Group will meet Monday evening at 8 o’clock, February 9th, in the home of Mrs. Joseph Daley. St. Ann Group will meet Wednesday morning at 9:30, February 11th, with Mrs. Earl Chadwick. St. Anthony Study Group met Monday evening at 8:30 with Mrs. Oscar Bender. Our Lady of Fatima Discussion Group met on Monday evening, February 2d, also at 8:30 o’clock with Mrs. Pat Yoder. This group are driving toward the goal of having all their members attend Mass on First Saturdays. The Ave Marie Discussion Group met with Mrs. Marge Hayes last Tuesday evening, February 3d, at 8 o’clock. These Discussion Groups are small groups of ladies who meet for study and inspirational guidance. Mrs. Joseph Daley is general chairman of these groups.

Sunday is Propagation-Mission-Sunday. All the monies given for membership is used for the missions under the guidance of our? Holy Father. Four St. Christopher ladies participated in the escort service at the Veteran Hospital on West 10th street Sunday, January 25th. They were Lillian Such, Bertha Foote, Eileen Murphy and Bea Breen. Each Sunday groups of ladies from the different churches aid the patients to and from Mass in the chapel at the hospital. If there is any lady who is interested in doing this sort of thing, she should contact Mrs. James Breen. On Monday morning, Candlemas Day, the High Mass was said for the living and the dead of St. Christopher, and for their deceased relatives and friends according to the parishioners’ intentions. On Tuesday, the Feast of St. Blase, throats were blessed starting before the 6:15 Mass in the morning and on through until after the 8 o’clock Mass, at 2:45 in the afternoon and again at 7:30 in the;

St. Christopher repeated as the parish of nine parishes represented with the largest number of winners in the Fifth Annual C.Y.O. Style Show at the Immaculate Heart of Mary auditorium Sunday evening, January 25th. The girls brought home four gift certificates. Janice Wheasler and Mary Ellen Benedetto won in the tailored dress division. Mary Toney and Miss Benedetto won in the formal dress division. Sixth grade of St. Christopher school attended the Sacred Heart of Jesus devotions in a body Wednesday evening. Shields Dave and Doug Spitzer and Dan Wall served.
