under the direction of Robert Hobbs, master of choristers and organist of the Cathedral. Family groups and groups of friends are especially invited to attend the program of sacred and secular music. All seats are free and unreserved in the War Memorial for the concert. More than 65 patrons have made the concert financially possible. They are to be honored at a tea given January 19th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore B. Griffith, 5580 Washington Boulevard. Information Operators Adopt New Reply Indiana Bell information operators are adopting a new reply to calls for telephone numbers not listed in the directory. Instead of answering with the telephone name and five figures, the operators will give the two letters and five figures. Instead of saying “MElrose 5-9811,” for example, they will say “ME. 59811.” Recent trials indicate better dialing accuracy when telephone users are given the actual letters and figures they will dial instead
of what may be an unfamiliar prefix. The procedure also complements the gradual adoption of letter-and-figure listings in the telephone directory. Intercepting operators, who answer calls to numbers which have been changed, also will provide numbei-s of two letters and five figures.
