Jim Clark is proud of his 4en year ■old swim student, Gary Kinkead, who won high honors at the Indiana AAU meet which was held recently at Riviera. Gary taught himself to swim, and when his parents became members of. Westwood, Coach Clark and Chuck Martin, who is a member of the Indianapolis Athletic Club’s diving team, took him in hand. He is already a state champion and record-holder and Coach Clark predicts a bright future for the youngster. Parties have been planned for the fifth and sixth graders, the former will be held on Saturday, January 10, and the latter on Friday, January 2. Big plans have been made and the youngsters r will be looking forward to these ifiours for both parties be 7:30 till 9:30 pjn. Pantaloons and fancy garters will be in fashion for the square dance lovers when Gabe Owens does calling at their dance on Saturday, January 3. Dancing will be from 8 till 11, and soft drinks and chips will refresh the enthusiasts. The first series of weekly exercise lessons which were conducted by Miss Barbara Drinkwater have been completed and registration for the next sessions may be made at the club on Tuesday, January 6. The committee members will be there during the hours of 9 till 11, and 1 till 3. All those interested are urged to make their registrations at this time. The first lesson will commence on Monday, January 12, from 1:00 till 2:00. Contact club if additional information is needed. The Luncheon and Card Party committee have completed their arrangements for the first affair on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1:00 p.m. and

reservations are being taken by Mrs. Robert McMahon at CH. 41458 and Mrs. Oscar A. Bender at CH. 4-4296. Another one is being planned for February 10. A newsletter is being sent from the club office to an members giving fun details. Chairman of the Square dancers Ray Brown has made arrangements for round dance lessons which win commence on January 16. AU those desiring dancing of this nature may contact Mr. Brown at CH. 4-5591 or the club. All members are to be alerted and should make plans to attend the annual General Business meeting on Sunday, January 18 at 7:00 pjn. Important issue win be discussed which win be of interest to aB. Mrs. Don Beuke displays a mean bowling ability, for she bowled 495 to place high, and Mrs. Robert Froderman had a score of 189 for high single. There win be no bowling, nor canteen during the weeks of December 22 and December 29. The club is interested in knowing if members and their guests are desirous of taking all types of dance lessons, and if so please inform Manager Clark, who in turn will advise the committee heads. The management, Board of Directors and President wish each and every one a very Merry Christmas.
