Speedway O.E.S. The Speedway Chapter O.E.S. 561 will hold a regular stated meeting Tuesday, December 9th; at the Speedway Masonic Temple, 1620 N. Lyndhrust Drive at 8:00 p.m. We will observe our annual Christmas party with refreshments following the meeting in the downstairs social room. The Chapter will be dark until the first meeting in January, the 13th. We would like to wish all our members and friends a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year ever! Individuality is a keynote as The Salvation Army selects Christmas games and toys for children. It tries to match the gifts to the children’s ages and interests.

Senior M.YT. We enjoyed a nice meeting at the Wesley House Sunday, November 30th. Judy Last gave the devotions. The program was given by Ronnie Cotton, Ralph Thompson, and Mr. Wennerlund. Monday, December 1, a nice group visited a Hebrew Synagogue and Rabbi Goodman directed the group through the Synagogue building. It was very interesting. Tuesday, ' December 2, our group attended the Sub-District meeting at Mt. Olive Church. Next Sunday, December 7, we meet at the church. Devotions will be given by Tom Cooney. Refreshments will be served by Karen Steele and Melinda Walters. We hope to have a basketball team. All boys interested in a M.Y.F. basketball team come to our next meeting, Sunday, December 7. Remember the date of December 22. The evening of our caroling and Christmas Party. Reporter, Loretta Perkins Jolly Homemakers Jolly Homemakers will have their Christmas party on Wednesday, December 10th at 11:30 a.m. in the Airport dining room. Harriett Burns is in charge of arrangements. There will be a gift exchange and we would like to invite all our past members to join us. Call Harriett for reservations.

Meeting To Be On Dandy Trail Mrs. R. E. Jennings is to be hostess to the League of Women Voters on December 9th at 8 p.m. The Metropolitan survey is to be the topic for discussion. Mrs. Jennings lives at 4125 Dandy Trail and would be delighted to have any interested woman call CH. 4-8330 or CH. 43024 for information regarding the League and its activities. American Legion Auxiliary Party A Christmas party for patients at the Cold Springs Veteran Hospital sponsored by the Speedway, Wayne and Linehan Units was given Monday night, December 1, 1958. Cookies, cokes, ice cream, cigars, and cigarettes were were given to each patient. Door prizes and cash prizes were also given as prizes for games. Special thanks go to Mrs. A.
