SPEEDWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Mrs. Frieda Schmidt. SENIOR HI C.Y.F. will meet Sunday at 5:00 p.m. starting with fun and refreshments in Fellowship Hall. The worship and study will be held in the class room and as a special part of the program, Mrs. Jane McArthur will give the Christmas story, “While The Angels Sing.” Don’t forget your Christmas bottle or shoe for the Cleveland Home. Every dime helps some orphan. (If you can’t come Sunday evening, bring to Sunday School the following Sunday). Handel’s “Messiah” will be presented in our sanctuary next Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. by the choirs of the Christian, Lutheran and Methodist churches. Everyone is invited to attend as you will find this a most enriching experience preceding the celebration of the birth of our Lord. CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP will hold their quarterly meeting in Fellowship Hall, December 9 at 1:15 p.m. This is a combined meeting of all the Circles and much planning has been done to make the occasion a memorable one. As special guest, Rev. Frank Little will present a dramatization •of “Isaiah Speaks.” Plan to attend. THE ENTIRE OFFICIAL BOARD will meet Tuesday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m. Please note this is a change from the regular schedule calling for only the Executive Committee to meet. LADIES AID CIRCLE will meet with Mrs. Nelle Harvey, 1872 N. Norfolk on Wednesday, December 10, at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Grover Staley will give the worship. LOS AMIGOS CLASS will have their Christmas party Friday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. This will be a pitch-in dinner with turkey, rolls and coffee being furnished. There will be a 29c gift exchange. GOLDEN RULE CLASS will have its Christmas party on Friday, December 12th in Fellowship Hall and each is asked to bring a covered dish and own service for the dinner at 6:30 p.m. Meat, rolls, coffee, dressing and noodles will be furnished. There will be a 50c gift exchange. NEW MEMBERS. We are happy to welcome into our fellowship Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Shelton, 4811 Alameda Road. They transferred their membership last Sunday morning from the Englewood Christian. Also, we are glad to have John Thorne back in our congregation again, transferring from First Christian at Beaumont, Texas.

“CHRISTMAS FOR EVERYBODY” is the theme of a miscellaneous Christmas program by the children of the Church School, Sunday evening, Dec. 14. “TABLEAU of CHRISTMAS CAROLS” will be presented by the Church Choir and various groups on Sunday evening, Dec. 21 with Mrs. Jean Brower directing. “SERVICE OF LIGHTS” is planned for Sunday evening, Dec. 28. The Christmas committee is decorating the church this week. Children who attend The Salvation Army Summer Camps are remembered during the holiday season. Indianapolis Hiking Club On Sunday, December 7, the Indianapolis Hiking Club will visit Holliday Park. Hikers will meet at 1:30 pan. at 46th and Illinois Streets, or at 2:00 pan. at the south entrance to Holliday Park, located between 63d and 64th Streets on Spring Mill Road.
