ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued trotn Page 1) The Junior C.Y.O. were entered in the Swim Meet at Broad Ripple Pool Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. Joseph Geiman, Jr. is the swimming coach. On account of the overhaul of St. Christopher school bus, the Junior C.Y.O. yearly outing was postponed until today. They were to leave this morning for Brown County Park with enough lunch packed for two meals. The C.Y.O. was to provide the drinks and said that they would stand the admission fee into the park. And to make it all the more friendly, everybody was asked to ride in the bus. At the eight o’clock Mass next Sunday morning, July 20th, the Junior C.Y.O. members will receive corporate Holy Communion. A breakfast of coffee, milk and donuts will be served in the social room following the Mass. To this breakfast everyone is invited to partake—not just C.Y.O.ers. The ladies continue to come on Friday afternoon and clean the church. The names listed in the church bulletin for tomorrow are Helen Bandy, Barbara Bardash, Patty Bates, Vesat Battreall, Patricia Baughman, Evelyn Beason, Mary Beberdick, Mazie Bender, Agnes Benedetto and Barilyn Berger. What a privilege to serve Almighty God, and to get acquainted with each other! We often hear the remark that since St. Christopher is getting so big we don’t know anybody anymore. St. Meinard’s parish are holding a picnic on Sunday, July 20th. Assumption church in Indianapolis are having a Fish Friday tomorrow night. Serving to begin at 5 o’clock—or you may carry home your food. It is not doing the thing we like to do, but liking the thing we have to do, that makes life blessed.—Goethe. We are all hoping and praying that the rains get over or at least hold off during July 24, 25, and 26 for our Annual Lawn Festival. Pray daily your Rosary for peace in the world. Nora Bray
