Half Pints and Midgets Win The Half Pints defeated the Bobcats last Thursday by the score of 38 to 19 at the 22nd Street diamonds, and the Midgets outscored the Tigers 41 to 23 at the Park on Monday. This game had been rained out from last Friday. The boys are showing continuing improvement in the hitting and running departments, but they need to work more on fielding and throwing the ball to first base. All hitting is done from a batting tee and for boys in this age group, 6 yrs. to 8 yrs., this is far superior to using a pitcher and catcher. These boys are playing again this week: Thursday at 22nd Street—Bobcats vs. Midgets; Friday at the Main Park—Half Pinks vs. Tigers. In case of rain the Thursday game will be post(Continued on page 7)
