INDIANAPOLIS AUTO SHOW

Ten of the most popular cars manufactured in Europe will share the spotlight with all 17 makes of American cars during the Golden Anniversary Auto Show of the Indianapolis Auto Trade Association, beginning Friday night (Jan. 17) in the Manufacturers Building ait the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Included among the imported cars grouped at the West end of the building will be Alfa Romeo, Austin Healey, English Ford, Jaguar, M.G., Morris Minor, Porsche, Fenault, Volkswagen and Volvo. Individual display areas have been assigned to each of the 17 American makes, as in former years, and 11 of the dealer groups represented also have contributed one of their top models to the “giveaway” display in the very center of the exhibition arena. One of these cars will be given away each night the show is in progress, beginning on Jan. 17 and running through Jan. 25. In keeping with the show’s “Golden Jubilee” theme, gold keys have been made for each of the giveaway cars. The holder of the lucky number each night will select one of the keys and receive title to the car which the key fits. After the formal opening on Friday night at 6 p.m., the show will be open daily from 1 to 11 p.m. An excellent cafeteria and other concession stands will be in operation constantly for the convenience of show visitors who desire to come to the exhibition direct from their work. Arrangements also have been made with the Indiana State Fair Board for ample free parking facilities.
