The men of St. Christopher will have a Retreat at Alverna on October 18 and 20. It is hoped that forty or fifty men will be able to make this Retreat—first for the good of themselves, for the good of their families and for the good of their church. The Junior Kickball team of 6th, 7th and Bth grade girls lost to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Monday afternoon at the park. But the girls played a wonderful game, and they lost to one of the best teams. Mrs. Helen Gambrall and Mrs. Catherine Cooper are coaching the girls. They play again Friday afternoon after school at Holy Trinity school. Parents and friends are asked to attend these games and help boost the morale of the girls. A little rooting on the sidelines can do our girls a lot of good. There are 10 girls on the team with 6 substitutes standing-by. Mrs. Betty Gillespie and Mrs. Polly Stamm are the first grade room mothers. Mrs. Gillespie sponsors the room taught by Sister Mary Catherine and Mrs. Stamm sponsors the room taught by Sister Mary Carmel. Don’t forget the LADIES SOCIAL PARTY tonight.
