SPEEDWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH (Continued from Page 19 JUNIOR HI RETREAT. Next Sunday the Junior Hi Group will hold their Retreat at Noblesville. They will leave the church by special bus at 8:00 a.m. and return at 8:00 p.m. All should take their lunch but supper will be furnished. CHRISTIAN MEN’S FELLOWSHIP. The annual bean dinner of the CMF will be held next Monday at 6:30 in Fellowship Hall. Movies of the 1956 “500” Mile Race and 1956 Rarlington Stock Car Race will be shown. Butler Symphony The Butler University Symphony Orchestra, assisted by the University Choral Union, the Jordan Pallet, and the Howe High School Chorus, will give its final concert of the season on Friday evening, May 24, at 8:30 in the Auditorium of the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Directors Igor Buketoff, Fred Koehrn, Frank Watkins, and Choreographer Peggy Dorsey, have planned an evening that will include Haydn’s Symphony No. 88 by the orchestra, the second act of Adolphe Adams Ballet “Giselle,” and the Prologue to “Mefistofele” sung by the joint choral groups with Daniel Ferro, basso, as soloist. The latter production also includes the ballet and orchestra. The full University Symphony will sit in the “Well” of the Rite Auditorium with the Choral groups on either side and the ballot accuying the stage. The public is invited to attend.
